🌱 Our Green Mission 🌱

Being In Harmony
At Dance Camp East, we believe that harmony with nature is central to the community we build. Our festival is not just about celebrating dance, music, and connection—it’s also about honoring the land that hosts us and living in alignment with sustainable values. Hulver Farm, our home, is a beautiful piece of countryside, and we are committed to preserving its natural beauty for future generations.

Working Together
We collaborate closely with the landowner, Farmer Paul, who plays an active role in our community by frequently stopping by to share insights, give talks, and participate in our celebrations and activities. His involvement is a testament to our commitment to fostering a strong relationship with the land, ensuring its sustainability for future generations.
We are dedicated to maintaining a respectful and harmonious connection with the land, prioritizing eco-friendly practices that benefit both the environment and the community. By working together with Farmer Paul, we aim to create a space where everyone feels included, valued, and inspired to contribute to the preservation of our shared resources.

Using Nature’s Resources
Nature and creativity go hand in hand, and our workshops often integrate the beauty of the natural world into their teachings. Whether it’s learning under the open sky, using nature for arts & crafts, gathering around the fire to sing, or dancing barefoot on the grass, we’re reminded that our connection to nature is part of what makes Dance Camp East so magical.

Leaving No Trace
Our approach is rooted in mindfulness and care for the environment. From eco-friendly practices on-site to encouraging low-impact travel, we aim to reduce waste and tread lightly. Recycling stations, composting facilities, and reusable dishware are at the heart of our camp infrastructure, helping us keep waste to an absolute minimum. We encourage attendees to bring reusable items, from water bottles to cutlery, and to leave no trace behind when it’s time to say goodbye.

Conscious Eating
Food is an important part of our sustainability journey. Our communal cooking and meal-sharing traditions not only bring people together but also significantly reduce food waste. Locally sourced produce and thoughtful meal planning help ensure we are supporting ethical practices while nourishing our community with healthy, wholesome food. We also have food traders on site who are check to be sustainable and in line with our values.

One Community
There is nothing more sustainable than a community working together with effective collaboration and communication. It is every individual who comes to our festival that allows us to be the most eco-friendly festival in the UK.
By coming together with intention and awareness, we create a festival that is as kind to the earth as it is to each other. At Dance Camp East, sustainability isn’t just our goal—it’s our way of life.
